INVESTIGATING SHRINKAGE CHANGES OF NATURAL POZZOLAN BASED GEOPOLYMER CEMENTPASTE
نویسندگان
چکیده مقاله:
Shrinkage behavior of a geopolymer cement paste prepared from pumice-type natural pozzolan was studiedby changing parameters of chemical composition including SiO2/Na2O molar ratio of activator and total molar ratiosof Na2O/Al2O3, and H2O/Al2O3. For investigating the effect of curing conditions on shrinkage, hydrothermal curingwas also applied. The obtained results clearly revealed the governing effect of chemical composition on shrinkage.Mixes with different Na2O/Al2O3 molar ratios exhibited different shrinkage behavior due to variations made inSiO2/Na2O molar ratio. Application of hydrothermal curing after a 7-day period of precuring in humid atmospherealso showed strong effect on shrinkage reduction.

Abstract: In recent years, many research works have been done to investigate the possibility of utilizing a broad range of materials as raw materials in the production of geopolymer cements. The use of artificial pozzolans or aluminosilicate-type industrial waste materials such as granulated blast-furnace slag and fly ash has been reported in many research works. Natural pozzolans are also al...

geopolymer cement (inorganic polymeric binder) based on natural pozzolan are investigated. SiOof activator and total molar ratios of Nacomposition exhibiting the highest 28-day compressive strength. Mixtures exhibiting the highest compressive strength were studied for their molecular structure using laboratory technique of Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Results obtained confirm that ch...
متن کاملShrinkage-Based Features for Natural Language Call Routing
The feature set used with a classifier can have a large impact on classification performance. This paper presents a set of shrinkage-based features for Maximum Entropy and other classifiers in the exponential family. These features are inspired by the exponential class-based language model, Model M. We motivate the use of these features for the task of text classification and evaluate them on a...
متن کاملRheology of Geopolymer: Comparative Study between Portland Cement and Metakaolin Based Geopolymer
Metakaolin based geopolymers are presented in many studies as an alternative to normal Portland cement. Previous studies have focused on their chemical and mechanical properties, their microstructures and their potential uses, but very few on their rheological behaviour. Our work highlights the main differences that exist between geopolymer and Portland cement. These materials behave as Newtoni...

The main objective of this study involves observation of structural behaviours of the fresh fly ash-based geo-polymer concrete, understanding the basic mix...
متن کاملStudy of Metakaolin-Based Geopolymer with Addition of Polymer Admixtures
In the present work, metakaolin-based geopolymer including different polymer admixtures was studied. Different types of commercial polymer admixtures VINNAPAS® and polyethylene glycol of different relative molecular weight were used as polymer admixtures. The main objective of this work is to investigate the influence of different types of admixtures on the properties of metakaolin-based geopol...
